GUESS WHAT?

We got some amazing news today...Kiara called this morning and reported that she is still not feeling very well. Very tired and just not herself. She has a touch of a cold and just generally pretty crumby! As we talked she informed me that she might have something else "wrong" with her and she would call me later. She called me an hour or so later and told me that the test was positive...there is something up with her...Brett and I are going to be grandparents! Kiara is expecting our first grandchild in early June 2010! The kids are way excited to be aunts and uncles! Zack asked if he could be the second one to hold the baby when it arrives...he figured that Kiara could hold the baby first and maybe Boone, but then he wants to be next in line! Well, this should be a fun adventure! Kiara came in to Heber today to do gel nails for the drill team girls...she had 5 appointments today and is exhausted. The bad weather was rolling in and Brett felt like she should really stay the night, as she has nail appointments here tomorrow and needs to rest. She has a cold and is a little frustrated that she cannot take any medicine. Brett gave her a blessing and she is sound asleep. It has been a very busy and exciting day for our family!

Crazy week ahead!

Hi all,
We have another crazy week ahead...Zack had scouts today, Kati has extra drill team practices for a big performance on Wed. at the football game, it is supposed to snow here, and Kami has a very difficult spelling list and is working on her violin. Brandi has two Mary Kay parties to do and holding a jewlry party for a friend starting a new business. Brett is working on his long list of projects...currently finishing his shed, so the boats are covered for the winter. He is going hunting with Kiara and Boone this weekend...hopefully there isn't too much snow! We got a message tonight that Brett's aunt Maxine passed away, and the services are Friday or Saturday. Grandma Hansen and Grandma Sheppard are having birthdays this week...note to self, don't forget to send the flowers! Granma Sheppard is turning 90 and having a party to celebrate on Saturday. Family pictures are Sunday! Oh and by the way did I mention that General Conference is this weekend...thank goodness we have lots of technology that allows us to catch it on the go! Well hopefully, I will have some fun pictures to share after such an eventful week! See ya soon!

Old picture of grandparents and cousins!

Hey my cousin found this old picture of my sister, Melani and I with our Grandpa and Grandma Sheppard and some of our cousins. It was taken in the summer of 1975! What a fun find!

Lake Powell 2009

This is the whole gang that went to Lake Powell with our family in July 2009! We had such a great time...we are so lucky to have such an amazing family! We actually enjoy spending time together and have fun no matter what we are doing. We had our usual breakdowns and flat tires, but that didn't damper our trip, as we focused on skiing, riding the "weenie", tubing, swimming, and of course eating! Thanks family for another great trip!

Tysen's football and dinner with the cousins!

Kati, Zack and Brandi went to Oakley to meet the Clark family to watch Tysen play football. We had a great time. Brady coaches the team and their children are great cheerleaders! We all went to Dick's, a little drive-in in Kamas for dinner after. It was a blast. Especially when Emmery tried to feed Aunt Brandi some of her ice cream. She got as much up my nose as she did in my mouth! Oh yeah, and Tysen's team won!!!

Kate, Zack and Kami took this picture as part of a welcome home card for me. I went to Dallas for Mary Kay Seminar, the annual education and celebration event. I really appreciate their unconditional love and support!
